FRIENDS OF THE PURVIS LIBRARY
Looking for a few good FRIENDS!
Have Fun Helping Your Library Reach Its Goal!
Current Goal:
We are raising money to buy a large flat screen tv for library programming.
What do the Purvis Friends Group do?
As a group they contibute to the Purvis Library needs, help make the public mor aware of the library services and resources offered, and help promote programs hosted by the library.
When do the Purvis Friends meet?
There is a meeting on the third (3rd) Monday of each month from 5-6 p.m.
Following each meeting we mail out the meeting decisions and the next month's discussions and decision survey. To encourage participation from the membership, we ask that feelings and ideas are shared on the surveys and returned to the library before the next meeting - when you are unable to attend.
What are the benefits of being a Friend of the Purvis Library?
Help develop the kinds of services and resources your public library needs.
Have an impact in the community.
Responsibilities: Some members may want to be more involved than others. Each member decides how he or she will participate. You may choose to become a part of a particular event or ongoing project or by serving on a committee or you may be unable to physically help but are willing to pay the annual dues. We encourage all patrons, 18 years and older, to join us.
